Texas Tennis and Education Foundation
The Texas Tennis and Education Foundation provides fifteen tennis scholarships at $1,000 each year. These scholarships are for high school students who are entering college as well as college students in good academic standing. To be eligible, students must live in the Texas Section and be U.S. citizens. To apply, students must complete an official application and submit it along with additional documentation by April 12. Additional required documents include two years of parent/guardian Federal Income Tax returns, academic transcripts, SAT or ACT results, two letters of recommendation, a list of tennis and other extracurricular activities and community service, a personal statement of educational and career goals, and a recent photograph. U.S. Racquetball Association
The U.S. Racquetball Association provides tennis scholarships to USAR members. Eligible applicants must be graduating from high school by June of the application year and must be accepted by or enrolled in an accredited technical school, college, vocational school, or university. To apply, students must submit a completed, signed application along with an applicant release form, three teacher’s reports, and an autobiographical essay. In addition, applicants must submit a copy of the most recent transcripts from high school or college, a recent photograph, financial information, a resume, letters of recommendation, and documentation to support all academic, athletic, and community accomplishments. Kyle R. Magoto Scholarship Fund
To be eligible for the Kyle R. Magoto tennis scholarships, applicants must be graduating seniors from Russia High School in Shelby County, Ohio, and must be pursuing an associate’s or bachelor’s degree from an accredited school. In addition, students must be planning to attend college full-time and must have at least a 3.0 high school GPA. Finally, applicants must have participated in a minimum of five athletic seasons during high school. Scholarship recipients will be chosen based on financial need, academic achievement, community and school service, recommendations, and extracurricular activities. Scholarships may be renewed for one year. Applications can be found at www.commfoun.com and are due March 22.
