University of Georgia Foundation Fellowship and Bernard Ramsey Honors Scholarships

Have you built an impressive GPA during your high school years? If so, you can turn your hard work into money to pay for your degree with the Foundation Fellowship and Bernard Ramsey Honors Scholarship program at the University of Georgia. This excellent scholarship is available to high achieving students who plan to attend the University of Georgia to earn their degrees.

In order to be eligible for the scholarship, you must be a high school senior who has an unweighted GPA of 3.8 or higher as well as an ACT score of 31, or a combined SAT score of 2100 or higher. In addition, ideal candidates for this scholarship must show a very high level of curiosity and intellectual drive as well as excellent records of service and leadership. Finally, recipients must show that they can contribute to and benefit from a diverse group of student citizens.

University of Georgia Foundation Fellowship

This Fellowship was started in 1972 by University of Georgia Trustees to provide an enhanced educational experience for exceptional undergraduate students. Foundation Fellows receive $10,500 a year if they are in-state students and $17,200 a year if they are out-of-state students. In addition, out-of-state students receive an out-of-state tuition waiver. Fellows also enjoy many opportunities to participate in travel study both nationally and internationally. They also get to conduct academic research and attend academic conferences. Additional benefits of the fellowship include seminars with university professors, mentoring and advising with senior faculty fellows, and membership in the university’s Honors Program.

Application

From all applications, 50 finalists will be chosen to visit the University of Georgia campus for Interview Weekend February 22-23, 2013.

Finalists who attend Interview Weekend will be awarded Ramsey Honors Scholarships, which provide $5,250 for in-state students and $8,450 plus a tuition waiver for out-of-state students. These students will also receive a $3,000 grant for travel-study. In addition, 25 Ramsey Scholars will be chosen as Foundation Fellows.
